These are just the 3D printed parts - other parts and tools are needed to complete the model (see below). Be aware that this isn't an easy build!
Other parts needed (and what I used):
- Braided fishing line (35lb 4strand black)
- 3mm diameter rod or tube (carbon fibre tube)
- 5mm diameter x 3mm bore clear plastic tubing (acrylic/Perspex)
- 0.8mm wire (paper clips)
- 2mm rod (RC servo pushrod)
- 6mm diameter x 3mm bore x 2.5mm roller (MR63ZZ 3X6X2.5MM bearings x2)
- M2x6mm flat head self-tapping screw (x2)
- M2x8mm countersunk machine screw (x4)
You will also need superglue, miniature drills 1mm-3mm, a small screwdriver, small files, sandpaper, and black acrylic paint.
To pull the line through the passages I used a fine music wire (0.3mm or smaller).
Take care to get the wings moving as freely as possible before fitting the crow to the base as it is only gravity pulling the wings down!
