Usage

  1. The bolt end supports the motor shaft. The BB allows the flywheel to pivot to find its level.

  2. Ensure the BB and the bolt are aligned when the clamp is closed.

  3. Apply slow even pressure ensuring the wheel is level. This thing isn't magic and it can still go wrong if you buffalo-fist it.

  4. Adhesive tack (blutack), or an m5 nut to increase contact area, can help on the motor end.

EDIT You may may need to start with the flat end to get the wheel on, and add the BB later. I forgot to mention this as I thought it was obvious.

Building

  • Clamp in photo is Stanley Fatmax. You have step file and can also print clamp.

  • M5 nut and bolt appropriate to your cage geometry.

  • 6mm BB (borrow one from airsofter, I didn't ask why they had steel). Also availabke form Bambu maker supply as item FA001.

General Flywheel Tip

I discovered that you can use wicking glue on loose flywheels, allowing wheel re-use.

There are flywheel pullers on printables, which work great to do the opposite job.  There are not my models.
