FDMecha Hex Terrain is a tabletop terrain system for hex-grid sci-fi mech gaming, made to play well and look great right off the printer. Tiles are designed in a "mid-poly" style that works at a variety of scales, reads clearly for players and allows easy color variation with multi-material systems or simple layer swaps. Base plates and risers clip together using OpenLOCK clips for stability and for construction of large raised sections or bridged terrain.

The Extended Core Set includes everything in the Basic Core Set:
- 13 textured surface tiles, 2 rock tiles, 2 plant tiles
- 4 heights of frame riser (H1-H4, each H-unit of height = 20mm)
- Base plates in 8 sizes (1x1-1x4, 2x2 flower, 3x3 flower, 4x4, 5x4)

Plus:
- 11 variant texture tiles, adding detail and variety
- 2 variant plant tiles
- 12 combination rock tiles and 20 combination plant tiles, integrating the rock and plant tiles with a variety of ground textures
- Half-height frame riser (H0.5)
- "Skeletonized" variant frame risers in 5 heights (H0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4)
- Multiclip risers (with OpenLOCK sockets at both the top and level with H1), both plain and skeletonized variants in H2-H4
- No-clip risers with one or more solid sides, for when your build wants unbroken wall surfaces (7 variants in 4 heights)
- Combined 2x2xH2 and 3x3xH3 risers, for placing quick and easy large objects on the battlefield
- The Base Frame Riser Plug, which can be press-fit into the bottom of any base frame to turn one hex of that frame into an integrated H1 riser, enabling larger raised areas with less material and more stable and complex vertical construction. (Also, it wasn't strictly designed for this, but if flipped upside down it can slot into the top of a riser like a bunker roof/fun little hat.)

Print Info:
Provided your printer has decent bridging ability and bed levelling, all pieces should print just fine without support or additional adhesion. Test prints Tiles and risers in the example photos are printed in basic and matte PLA; base frames are printed in either PLA or PET-G.
