This is a new addon to the OpenSwords project. Here is a longsword guard for basic trainings I made equip beginners for cheap. No pommel or oval grip yet, might do it in the future.
No heatgun required on this one.
Use a 25mm x 1m20-1m30 dowel (if you use a 1" dowel, scaling up the model to 101% for tolerance is recommended.) of a sturdy wood (pine, or oak if you want a heavier model work great).
A 4x25mm sunk head wood screw is the recommended size.
Recomennded printing parameters :
Material : PETG (PLA might work too but might be more brittle)
Nozzle size : 0.4mm
Fall count : 4
Infill : 40%
