A simple screw-open egg shape to contain small toys or candy. I wanted to have the container realistic yet as large as possible, so I measured the largest chicken eggs I could find in my fridge (came in at 61.2 mm) and I made the model that tall.
There are multiple combinations:
- Loopless vs. loop-topped (in case you want to hang the eggs from a string)
- Screw-open vs. solid (in case you just want a simple, sturdy model for decoration)
Note on printing: I find that the part with the outer screw prints best with supports around the outside, so that the edge of the shell comes out sharp, and does not leave a gap when the egg screw shut. See that attached 3mf file. For the same reason, it helps to give the inner screw a once-over with a deburring tool.
