This custom-designed trail camera tree mount offers a practical and dependable solution for mounting trail cams in outdoor environments. Frustrated by the lack of functional, 3D-printable options available, I created this straightforward design to meet the essential requirements of stability, ease of installation, and reliable performance in the field. In addition to the original threaded-insert design (Version A), an alternative ballhead version (Version B) was kindly contributed by @3D_Project3R_1569697, which replaces the insert with a direct bolt connection.
The mount is optimized for easy printing (no supports) and assembly, with a focus on compatibility and durability. Whether you're monitoring wildlife, securing property, or setting up a temporary surveillance point, this mount provides a clean and effective way to position your trail camera exactly where you need it.
Additional components required for assembly:
- 4 × screws (4 × 25 mm)
- Version A: 1 × threaded insert (1/4"-20; e.g. ruthex)
- Version A: 1 × camera screw (1/4"-20 × 3/4")
- Version B: 1 × bolt (1/4"-20 x 1")
- 1 × belt for tree mounting
