This is a replacement end-cap / mount for Ikea MITTLED under cabinet LED strips. My original ones got broken by some overzealous children slamming drawers shut. This is a slightly simplified copy of the original piece.
In normal use, it shouldn't see any stress, but if that were always true, I wouldn't of had to create a replacement..
