Warning: Please, do not use on dogs since cat lasers are harmful to them!
A laser turret toy for cats with randomized 360° movement. It is powered by an Arduino Nano, a 28BYJ-48 stepper motor and ULN2003 driver. This model is simple to print and assembly requires basic soldering. The combined cost of the electronics is about about $10.

Required components:
I bought multiple units of each but they can also be purchased individually.
Arduino Nano x1
28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor + ULN2003 Driver x1
Small piece of wire x1
Instructions (see the images for guidance):
- Shorten the 2 power pins on the UNL2003 Driver
- Bend the 4 motor pins outwards on the UNL2003 Driver
- Strip the power wires by about ¼" and solder them as indicated on the wiring diagram
- Position Arduino Nano on the UNL2003 Driver and solder the pins
- Import code to Arduino IDE app and load it on the Arduino Nano
- Put the electronic components into the main body
- Insert the shaft onto the motor tip
- Align the nub on the lid and snap into place
- Attach the laser holder onto the shaft
- Insert your laser, plug it in and let your cat enjoy!
