I wanted a reliable way to have flexible dust collection around the workbench, as I have already rolled out CamLocks and installed T-Tracks, blending it with the Flexible Hose Link seemed like the perfect way forward.
I designed this adapter with the following features:
- Parametric On-Shape design, can configure:
- Angle of FlexLink to table (10 degrees)
- Angle of CamLock to table (40 degrees)
- Hole size for T-Track screws: M8
- Base adapter Diameter
Customizing
It would be easy to make a different version with different adapters, as they are separate documents with mate connectors.
If there is community interest in generating other versions let me know and will open access to the on-shape file.
Unfortunately there was no Step file available for the FlexLink connector at the time of design (now provided by ECF), so I used FreeCad to convert to solid and export to Step which generates a 35MB file and thus the design is not friendly to work with. Will fix it in next design iteration.
Print Instructions
Unfortunately I could not find a way to design the part to avoid supports. Organic/Tree supports are recommended with a 30 degree angle, see attached slicer screen capture.
