This project arose from the need to build a hail shelter for the car
With simple string, 4 steel pins and the wire goniometer, measurements can be made with 1 degree accuracy.
With the wire well stretched, simply insert the centre of the goniometer into the pin and insert the wire into the 2 slots and read off the value using the arm's single-degree scale to resolve the measurements to 1 degree accuracy
The steel bars are 6 mm in diameter and have a lathe-machined slot to wind the wire
