Designed for KeySmart original and flex
Printed this almost 2 years ago (fall 2023) in some generic PLA and it's held up with some minor cracking* where it's attached to the rest of the keysmart/keys.
Notes
- Has not been tested using materials other than PLA
- Only for personal use.
- Photo only shows 7, but I had 8 on there at one point.
- Key Fob
- “Snaps" into the avocado
- Fits HID Prox III size, haven't tried other fob models
- Do not overtighten screws
- Use spacers between keys and plastic
- *Plastic cracks over time, use your best judgement for replacement (see photo for reference)
Printing Recommendations
- Print on the avocado side, aka the side that doesn't touch the keys/where you insert the fob
- 0.6 nozzle + textured filament - Printing on avocado side will result in a “fluffy” surface from the supports that looks ugly and feels scratchy. 10/10 do not recommend. Use regular PLA.
- Supports - all, best with grid
- Support material will print inside the avocado. Remove with caution to avoid the lip that snaps the fob in place.
- I am not responsible for the use of snug supports when it won't come out of the avocado :D
- Infill - whatever you want. I think I set it to 20% but it didn't matter in the end.
