This ceiling light fixture is inspired by flower petals. I aimed for a simple, modular design that can be easily printed on a standard-sized printer bed. Completed, the diameter of the lamp is approximatelly 53cm.

The core of this design is a standard E27 light bulb socket with 40mm outer thread (I had one lying around).

The design features a center part where the individual petals are mounted, and a top part that fastens to the ceiling. The E27 socket holds both parts together.

To complete this project, you will need to print one center part, one top part, six petals, and twelve connectors.

The clips should be printed in a standing orientation. The petals have a raised edge, allowing them to be printed in a different color. I chose a simple gray and white color scheme.

The petals need to be placed onto the corresponding tongues on the center part and secured with the clips. Two clips should be slid onto each tongue from the side, with their flat sides facing each other.

Possible modification would be to split the top and center and have the flower part just hanging on a cable. If there is anybody interested in such modification, let me know and I can make an update.

It is best to print this design in PETG due to its better temperature resistance. Although PETG offers some heat resistance, do not use an incandescent bulb; an LED bulb is recommended.
