The colorful bands to distinguish weight selection do not come with the Powerblock Sport EXP. I printed these to fill that purpose.
The STL included with this upload is for the Sport EXP. If you have a different model of Powerblock you can open the FCSTD file (with FreeCAD) and adjust the constraints to fit your Powerblock. Here are the parameters available:
| Constraint Name | Default Value |
|---|---|
| Band Thickness | 0.95mm |
| Band Gap | 4.55mm |
| Inner Diameter | 9.20mm |
| Pad Length | 149mm |
I recommend measuring the diameter of your Powerblock's pole, and making the “Inner Diameter” constraint ~.4mm smaller
If you find a size that fits your Powerblock well, please remix or leave a comment.
The band can be printed on its end (skyscaper style) or on its back (hotdog style). Skyscraper style will give you a nicer finish, but will print slower. I prefer skyscraper style. The second picture shows the difference, with the lower red being “hotdog” style. I had success printing PLA and PETG.
