This is a DIY RC laptimer for a single car. It uses the gyro of a MPU-6050 and a “teetery”, “wobbly” bump as a gate. The teetery makes it so the gyro can easily detect the car moving over it. I use some stratigically placed self adhesive rubber bumper feet to make it wobble. There is a 4 digit 7 segment display on the bump to show the time. I'm using a Raspberry Pi Pico, but any micro controller would do!
