Presentation Pointer – Printing & Finishing Guide

The author recommends printing this presentation pointer at a layer height of 0.2 or 0.3 mm. The total length is 420 mm, and the thickest part of the pointer measures approximately 18 to 20 mm in diameter.

A 3.7 mm hole runs through the entire body to accommodate a 3 mm steel rod, which is fixed at the end using epoxy adhesive.

To facilitate printing, the model is split into three segments. After printing, the segments were assembled with a 4-minute curing epoxy glue, then thoroughly sanded using sandpaper ranging from coarse to fine grits (#80 to #1000).

Caution: The pointer may break during sanding. To avoid this, place it flat and sand parallel to the surface. For added strength, it is recommended to use a strong and flexible metal rod as internal reinforcement. For stable and clean vertical printing of the rod shape, add a brim or a wide circular base (0.1 mm or larger in thickness) to the bottom of the model.
