Hose Connector that fits Hoover SteamVac Older Style Connector

From my quick research, it seems hoover used 3 or more designs over the years for hose connectors for SteamVac carpet washers. My hose tore next to the connector, which seems to be a common problem. Replacement hoses are no longer available and any plans to make 3rd party replacements didn't pan out.

This company was going to make replacement but there wasn't enough interest so it was canceled. 

The original hose connector was injection molded around the vacuum hose and the internal water supply hose, so re-gluing the original connector wouldn't have worked. I used a 2 part epoxy JB weld, if I were to do it again, I would use something that makes a flexible bond like E6000 or similar.

Required Materials and Tools:

• Heavy duty side cutters to cut metal wire in tube.
• Scissors or Knife
• Thick glue that can fill gaps (I don't recommend CA or hot glue)

Instructions:

1. Cut the old hose out of the old connector. There is a metal wire in the spirals.
2. Cut a hole in the hose 2 or 3 spirals up from the end of the hose (see picture) and push the water supply hose through
3. Test fit to make sure everything will fit before applying glue.
4. Pull the water supply hose out through the hole you made for extra slack, glue it into the connector.
5. Glue the vacuum hose into the connector

There are a bunch of different part numbers, I can't guarantee this is the correct connector for all the part numbers so please compare pictures. Please don't VERO strike me Hoover, you don't even make the replacement part anymore.
