This model uses OpenSCAD to generate custom 3D tickets to physically give at an event where we had a stand with our company Autonomycs. Each with:

  • An imported SVG logo (left side)
  • A 2-digit ticket number (right side)
  • Clean layout with rounded corners and side notches

✅ How to Generate Multiple Numbered Tickets

⚙ Requirements

  • OpenSCAD installed
  • Place your logo.svg in the same folder as the script.

📆 File Structure

your-folder/
├── ticket.scad         # OpenSCAD parametric ticket script
├── logo.svg # Your vector logo (clean SVG with only paths)
├── generate_tickets.sh # Shell script for batch export
├── README.md           # This file

💾 macOS/Linux: Batch Export (Bash)

    1. Open a terminal

    2. Make the script executable:

chmod +x generate_tickets.sh

    3. Run the script:

./generate_tickets.sh

This will generate:

ticket_1.stl
ticket_2.stl
...
ticket_20.stl

🪟 Windows: Batch Export (PowerShell)

Create a generate_tickets.ps1 file:

For ($i = 1; $i -le 20; $i++) {
    Write-Host "Rendering ticket $i"
    & "C:\Program Files\OpenSCAD\openscad.exe" -o "ticket_$i.stl" -D "ticket_number=$i" ticket.scad
}

Run from PowerShell after updating the OpenSCAD path if needed.

⚠ Common Issues

  •  ❌ Killed: 9 on macOS? → Allow terminal access in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation
  • 🧩 SVG not visible? → Make sure it's a plain SVG with only paths (no text, strokes, or groups).
    • Use Inkscape → Path > Object to Path → Save as Plain SVG
  • 🅰 Fonts not rendering? → Try standard fonts like "Liberation Sans" or remove the font entirely.
