This Type2 plug holder was designed with the following things in mind:

  • attach it to the side of the enclosure box protecting the EVSE circuitry, with screws from inside. Use 3, about 3mm plastic screws, drill template for the box included.
  • make it angled from the box and the wall, so it's easier to handle the plug
  • optionally host a micro-switch, to detect when plug is being removed from the holder. To automatically wake the device screen or open the car charge port flap. Use a 3mm plastic or wood screw to fix the switch into position with the fixator part.

Micro-switch type is KW11-3Z-D, the model with a long lever which can be bent in a convenient angle so it sticks out through the hole just about 4mm, actuating the switch with the plug in place.

There's also an optional TPU seal you can place between the holder and the box, to try to keep the IP rating of the enclosure as high as possible (prevent water drips sliding down the side of the box to enter the holes).

The models marked as left or right, depending on which side of the box you prefer to install it.

Printed in PETG with 3 wall loops, enabled supports, type tree, style hybrid or organic.
Parametric files included.

Using this with ESP32-EVSE commanded by an ESPHome LVGL display.
