For 38mm high powered rocket motors the polycarbonate retainers can be difficult to install and remove if a minimum diameter tube or a boat tail is used. This key slips onto the retainer and provides tabs which can be used to install and remove the retainer before and after launches.
PETG with 100% infill was used on the shown part.
