General description:

The oneblade fits into one end and is held in place securely by the cap which snaps into place.
A button in the cap allows power button access, and every is printable in a <200mm^3 print volume.

I used a 3D scan of the Philips OneBlade QP2724 from my Miraco Plus to create the handle pocket. The pocket is offset slightly for a perfect fit.

Why I designed this:

I designed this to extend the reach of my oneblade for back-shaving. I've been planning to design this for some time, but the contest finally got it into the head of the que.

Printing notes:

  • Layer height: .2
  • Recommended Material: ABS/ASA, PETG, PC
  • Supports: Bed only, Organic. Paint peg end of angled section for best fit.
  • Infill: 25% triangular
  • Walls: 3
  • Other Modifiers: Print vertically  with a brim for best results
  • Material Quantity: ≈200grams

Assembly Notes:

  • For my printer(Qidi Plus4) slip fit was sufficient except for the handle, which required a few drops of superglue. E3000 also works very well for this.
  • Slide all parts together except the cap.
    • If parts are too tight, sand as needed for a tight fit or adjust your horizontal compensation settings/flow.
    • If parts are too loose, apply superglue or E3000, or adjust horizontal compensation settings/flow.
  • Install the oneblade in the pocket of Body Clamp, then install the cap.

There is a button for the power switch which may need to be broken free, depending on your printer.

Cautions and updates:

Update 6/16/25*

After finally getting to print this design, the clearances are too snug with PETG on the Qidi 4Plus. I will be updating the design this week to be more user friendly. As-is the pieces split during assembly. The assembly is still functional, but not as refined as I would like.

Update 6/18/25*

I've added a second, rev 2 folder with increased clearance along all mating faces. I will print as soon as I am able, but expect a drop of superglue to be required for the handle joints for this rev.

Update 6/19/25*
The new offset works perf for the body pocket. Some of the joints are still stiff to assemble, but i think it’s a support issue. I’m re-printing all the pieces upright to minimize sagging and support usage and will update. This increases print time from around 7 hours to just over 10.
