The fan is mounted on a ball and compression fitting to allow adjustment of fan direction. vertically and horizontally.
I used an adjustable voltage supply set to 3 volts to limit the current to 2 amps.
The air velocity is reasonably strong for this small motor.
To put the ball and socket together, I printed them as assembly with support. Extracting the support took 10 minutes.
I used a 2 pole, double pole, double throw, center off switch that allows me to reverse the fan direction and turned the power on and off.double pole, double throw, center off switch that allows me to reverse the fan direction and turn
A single pole on off switch would be appropriate also.
For the prototype, I used a variable DC power supply rated 2 A and needed to set it at 3 V in order to not exceed the current rating. I cut off the connector and soldered the connections.
A higher voltage source, up to 6 V, would speed up the fan, but increase the power required, possibly to 4 amps
