I left my SonicCare toothbrush in a hotel on our last vacation and ended up finding an AquaSonic for a great price at our local Best Buy outlet—so I decided to give it a try. It turns out I actually like it better, except for one annoying thing: the back of the toothbrush is completely round, so it won’t sit bristles up when you lay it down to squeeze on the toothpaste. To fix this, I modeled a slip-on base with a flattened area that keeps it steady.

Also, for those who don’t know, the AquaSonic can charge on the original SonicCare induction bases, so I didn’t need two chargers for both mine and my wife’s toothbrushes. Since the peg on the SonicCare charger is smaller, I also made a version of the base with a slightly smaller hole to fit the SonicCare charger snugly. I’ve included both versions for anyone frustrated by their toothbrush rolling over when adding toothpaste.
