The Mil Mi-6 is a heavy transport helicopter developed by the Soviet Union in the 1950s. First flown in 1957, it was the largest and fastest helicopter in the world at the time. Powered by two massive turboshaft engines, the Mi-6 could carry up to 12 tons of cargo or over 90 passengers. It was used for both military and civilian purposes, including troop transport, firefighting, and construction. Its distinctive design features a large fuselage, five-blade main rotor, and a tail rotor mounted on a high fin. Although retired from many roles today, the Mi-6 remains an important milestone in helicopter engineering.

Printing Info

There are two versions you can print, one and without a sprue. Since the main rotor is quite big, you have to print it seperatly. There is a sprue model for the rotating and the fixed rotor. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!

Building Info

When you print the not-fixed version, the rotor might be stuck initially. Attach it to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till its loose.
