Hi ! After watching Matthias Wandel's solenoid engine video a few years ago, I thought it would be interesting to try build a similar 3D printed one. All the parts are not 3D printed but easy to find.I used a solenoid with a range of motion of 10 mm so the shaft must have a 5mm crank (the bent part attached to the link of the solenoid). The size of the crank of the switch doesn't matter.
Cheers, Arthur

Notes:
Nothing special here just add enough infill for the structural parts. Be careful to position the parts the right way in order to give them the required strength to be screwed down on the wood base.
Here are the things i used :
- Oak base 15mm thick and about 120mm*80mm
- Small wood screws
- Self taping screw for 3D printed parts
- Metal coat hanger for the shaft
- Stiff copper wire for the switch

Some electrical wires ans some tape to serve as stops for the shaft. The white piece on the shaft is a teflon tube used to slide better on the switch.
