Gun emplacement based on the Longues-sur-Mer battery. It is not intended as a scale model, but as a similar casemate site. According to Wikipedia, the guns used at that site were 15 cm TbtsK C/36 naval guns. If so, the gun on this build is 1/62.5 scale. Neither the details of the turret nor the casemate are identical representations. All the pieces are keyed for assembly. The gun turret rotates and the gun moves up and down. The rear entrance just sits along side, no key. I would enjoy seeing builds, especially if painted or otherwise modeled in battle scenes. I printed with .15 layers, column supports and raft. Refer to photo for assembly. The gun assembly has two inserts (1) that accept bearings (2), then a central gun mount (4). Insert that assembly (6) into the turret (7) and install the turret assembly (8) onto the turret base (9). Install the turret assembly (10) onto a bearing (11) and into the top turret floor (12) and the gun (14) into the turret/floor assembly (13). That entire assembly sits on top of the lower base, which has notches that align with each other. The casemate top installs onto the rear corner with one keyway. The two side walls then plug in with keys. The casemate assembly then drops into the turret floor notches. There are files for two hills that add a bit of scenery. I am working on a rear wall component that has an entrance and storage for ammunition, although I have no idea what those looked like in reality.
