When reassembling an old Suzuki GS850GT, I found part of the blinker/headlight switch to be broken. Ordered another assembly, same part was broken. Looked at yet a third- broken in the same place. So instead, I modeled a rough replacement assembly.
Switch_cap.stl sits outside the housing and should be printed in a UV and heat resistant material like ABS. Also, for better grip, print it with a very thick layer height to emulate the ribbed finish of the original part.
Switch_tee.stl sits inside the switch assembly and should be printed in a stiff material.
These parts are separate for ease of printing, as well as ease of assembly. You can install the tee inside the blinker housing as you assemble the stack of slider plates, and then install the cap once the housing is on, instead of having to assemble the top level slider plate around the opening in the housing. Once the whole assembly is complete and the backing plate is screwed on, the switch cap can be glued to the switch tee with superglue or epoxy.
