The enclosure is a safe way to use the power supply. It has holes for cooling and doesn’t take up much space. It uses an SK120 module, which is a cheap DC buck-boost converter, basically, a variable power supply.

To power it, you need a phone charger that provides more than 5V ( at least 6.5V ) to make the SK120 work. Any fast charger should do the job. You also need a USB-C PD trigger, which enables the charger to provide a voltage higher than 5V.

The output power from your power supply will always be limited by your charger. Theoretically, the SK120 can go up to 120W, but I personally use mine with a 65W charger — it's enough for me.

To build this power supply, you need:

  • to 3D print the main part and the lid to close the enclosure without support
  • 4× M4 screws to close the lid (any length should work fine)
  • an SK120 module:  AliExpress link
  • 2× female 4mm banana connectors: AliExpress link
  • a USB-C PD trigger: AliExpress link
  • at least 18 AWG or 16 AWG wire for the connections

(The links are not affiliated, they’re just here to make things easier for you and this is what i used.)

Wiring diagram :

I used CA glue to hold the USB-C module. The banana connectors are screwed in, the lid is screwed with the M4 screws, and the SK120 module simply snaps into place.

Hope you like the design ! Feel free to ask anything if you plan to build it yourself
