this takes the place of the striker plate. it is based on a 30" wide door if it dosent fit then heat slightly and bend. this will stop and hold door open 4 inches. if you need to close it all the way just push on it to pass the stopper. if anyone wants a larger gap size for a fat cat let me know and i will post an adjusted one to your gap size.
