If your PTFE tube is too short you can extend it with this joiner. It uses same PTFE plastic coupling collets as MMU3 unit (like this one - EDIT: wrong, i just received them, those are too big! Use original ones from Prusa!).
If filament gets stuck in the middle of the joiner then you must cut it as suggested by the Prusa (in conical shape), not just snap it with cutters at 90 degree angle, since in this case it will also get stuck in MMU unit.
This is in any case just a “makeshift” solution anyway. Long-term it's best to change tube with one piece (they aren't expensive).
