This adapter allows fitting a spool rewinder to the SV06 or SV06 Plus, which stops a lot of problems with tangles , also check out my other mods for SV06.
I have designed the models specifically for SV06 , SV06 Plus with easy mounting and now with corrected spring direction and reversed tensioner and can use the original nut from the standard spool holder or print the one i have included with the files, i used 8mm threaded rod and some 8mm nylock nuts , there is also a M3 15mm and a nut to lock it onto the 8mm shaft once all assembled, also needs three 608 bearings as we added an extra one on the clutch, its a very simple build and really helps for less problems with prints.
The spring clutch and hub can also take a metal spring or the printed spring , if you can get a small flat spring 4mm in height from a tape measure or retracting id badge these have light coil springs, note here you dont want a very heavy coil spring as it puts to much pressure on the extruder to load the spring tension.
So if your using the printed plastic spring you wont need the spring plate which was designed to retain the metal spring , the plastic spring does not seem to need it and it works better if you remove it when using the plastic spring as its a little wider then my metal spring , which also means we can go a little taller on the plastic spring for a little more tension if i think its needed down the track. I am currently using spring version 6 at the moment and its working great , clutch disk lightly sanded around the outside to remove any bumps and let the tension off the spring earlier , i usually start at a 0 setting on the tensioner and if it loads the spring its good make sure it gets fully loaded and slips , perhaps may need to adjust up a little once it has some prints on it and the clutch wears in a little , will be interesting to see how long this spring holds its tension for as i noticed with other springs i printed in petg over time they seem to loose their original shape so then dont retract as much these were thicker springs and i think that is part of the problem , but as this spring is light and uses very little material its very easy to swap out a spring for another one if it ever degrades .
I have added the other spool model parts that I use complete the rewind holder credit to the creators below.
its an ongoing process testing and using the spool rewinder and when i make changes to improve it they will be posted as soon as they are tested, I was inspired to do more work on the rewinder when picking up another SV06 plus and adding that to my workshop collection of printers , look forward to your feedback .
