Quick test of a threadless leadscrew concept for another project. Made from parts I had on hand to fit a 2.5" guide post. Printed with 0.4 nozzle, 4 walls, PETG. Materials required:
- 21x15x4 roller bearings
- M8 flat head cap screws
- Rod or shaft 2.5" in diameter
- ~4.5-5" hose clamp for preload adjustment
- M8 tap to thread the bearing retention screw holes.
There are two models, one with 12 bearings and one with 11 to try and reduce sensitivity to jumping over the keyways in my shaft.
