Foldable can holder
!!To assemble this you need 2 M6 16mm hex screws and 2 M6 nuts. Maybe 3d printed ones are good for this but I had these laying around!!
I've seen a product like this before in a student party many years back, and I wanted to see how could I make it with my own 3D printer. My plan is to make it extendable up to 500ml cans, maybe even pint sized. Also to add a functional hole so it could be hung
!!! In the pictures the bottom part is not the one in the printable files. I decided to make 2 small tweaks to it, remove the hole and change the text at the bottom (had my real name, now it has my usename)!!!
I printed these on Anycubic Kobra 3 with black and white PLA using the Anycubic slicer (not anycubic slicer next). 0.20 mm accuracy
- 0.4 nozzle, 220 Celcius temp.
- Layer height 0.2
- 1st layer height 0.24
- Perimeters 3
- 20% infill with triangles
- Support material: trees. Autogenerated
You should orient the parts like I've shown in the 5th picture. It probably would print the bottom part okay without the supports but not the handle itself.
After printing you should clean up the insides of the handle (where the 2 other parts will be) because there might be some scrappy areas. The handle is not mirrored, so you need to see which part goes to the other end of the handle (I did the mistake of not realising it and mutilited the other part until I remembered it…). The 6mm nut will be tight to put on, but it wil go there after working at it for a while. Then you just put the parts together and the screws and you have a functional can holder!
