Hyperboloid Can Holder

A can holder mathematically generated using BlocksCAD having a textured exterior based upon a hyperboloid body with a toroidal handle.

The hyperboloid body results in a wide stable base which resists tipping.

With an overall height of ~115 mm for a 330ml can with a ~66 mm diameter, although there is some variation for the diameter between manufacturers. 

The cavity is marginally oversized which allows minor print and material variability to be compensated for with a thin shim if required. 

This could consist of (~1mm), EVA tape or similar placed as one or more vertical/horizontal strips or one continuous strip around the internal circumference, to grip the can. Bubble wrap is an alternative in the absence of a compressible tape.

Alternatively, a shim can be printed for the ~66 mm diameter and the same method would also allow slim or mini cans (~63 mm), to be accomodated.

As the model is a receptical for a can and will not be used to hold liquids directly the model base need only support the can at the inner edge of its base circumference.
