If you want to use a Pico and full nevermore-controller with sensors and screen, and you don't want to use WAGOs and you like over engineering things, then here's a wiring solution for you!

Remix for Nevermore Mini, and inspired by this JST splitter model by the Canbus legend Esoterical

The idea is that each component is wired in with a connector

  • Dupont for connections to the Pico
  • JST-XT for connections to the wiring helper

The wiring helper has 3 rows of pins for 3.3v, ground and 5v

Assembly

Print all parts. PETG or better. 3+ walls

Take the jst spacer and insert your JST connectors

  • 5 x 2 pin
  • 1 x 3 pin

Solder a length of wire to connect all the 5v pins together, ground pins together and 3.3v pins together

Then insert your assembled JSTs and spacer into the jst container (print that too), Secure with hot glue or epoxy

Now mount the Pico on to the base clip, and the jst container onto the pico and secure with 4x M2 bolts, between 8-12mm in length

Also secure your sensor stack to the lug at the end of the base clip with an m2 bolt.

Now you can clip it into the standard Nevermore Mini base
