Portable mini bladeless fan. Uses a standard 15x19x23mm 12V DC motor. I powered it using a 12V PSU from an old piece speaker system. The wires currently just run out the side of the base vents, however it is possibly to drill a hole into the base.

The propeller has a 2mm hole for the motor, and the base has a slot for the motor. The top and bottom parts of the fan snap fit together, but superglue would ideally help hold them together.

My notes and takeaway from this project:
The motor often overheats after a few minutes of operation, causing the plastic fan to soften and come loose. I end up needing to wait about five minutes for the fan to cool down.
The airflow produced by the bladeless fan is significantly lower than the thrust produced by the propeller alone without the top attachment.

Note that this design and build were part of an experimental project of the engineering of a bladeless fan. Due to the overall overheating and airflow issues with the fan, I do not endorse use of the bladeless fan in a commercial sense. However, I am currently working on ways to fix these problems, and any advice, ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated.
