When repairing my Meade Autostar II hand controller, I accidentally lost the small red window that covers the front led. Instead of leaving the opening exposed to dust, I decided to design a replacement part and print it myself.
This little cover is printed in transparent PETG (.3mf file with transparent PetG print setting included), which works great — but you can also try red or tinted filament for a look closer to the original. It snaps right into place and restores the controller’s appearance while keeping dust out.
If you’ve lost or damaged the original window, this 3D printed part is a quick and practical fix!
