Rev 2:

Updated model to have 10mm taller ribs for leveling/stability. Increased base thickness for a better feel.

This is a self-leveling tamper with a vented center hole to clear the dispersion screen tab.

The vent should prevent issues with suction when removing the tamp.

Functionally similar to the Orphan Espresso tamper, this can simplify the puck prep workflow by tamping directly on the dispersion screen.

  1. Fill basket with grounds.
  2. WDT to fluff up and level grounds.
  3. Firmly tap basket down once on the table.
  4. Place dispersion screen (paper filter optional) in basket.
  5. Lightly tamp down with the tool.

Tool is modeled nominally at 57.8mm diameter, which provided a nice fit for my basket.

If you have adjusted printer settings to compensate for shrinkage, I recommend doing a short (~5mm tall) test print and adjusting the scale from there.
