The yarn holder can hold two individual balls of yarn or a larger skein of yarn. The base has an opening so that it can be filled up with sand. I used fine quartz sand from the hardware store. The hole was then closed up using the plug. The base and lid can take 6x each 6mm magnets to hold the lid in place. I printed the holder at 112% its size to max out my P1S.
I used rainbow and tri-color filament and it came out nicely.
Print settings (3mf attached):
- 0,6 mm nozzle
- <0.2 mm layer height
- 8% gyroid infill (so that the sand can flow in nicely from the bottom)
- support for the lid
