tried to find a solution to install a new (4mm diameter) clothesline after the former one had the plastic wrapping shredded due to punctual stress. the previously used tensioner applied pressure to a small point ripping the wrapping almost instantly. this design tries to distribute the pressure to a longer area of the line.
- block with .26 * .6
- wedge and guide .16 * .6
- 10 walls (not all needed)
- applied a fuzzy skin modifier (3.5mm cylinder) on the convex part of the wedge for enhanced grip, printed by object
original orientation is a bit unfortunate.
insert the line trough the cylindrical hole and reinsert on the narrow end of the wedged hole. tension the cord and insert wedge. you may have to use pliers and it is most probably single use only.
the guide distributes stress to a wider radius but is optional if you have other options.
