This is adapter “plate” for velcro mount found on thingiverse (Aruba 500-series wifi access point velcro/ziptie mount, thing:5887352). I wanted to mount my “mobile” APs in proper way to standard camera tripods with G1/4 screw and I wanted to keep option to use velcro if needed by simply uscrewing the 4 screws. Tip: if you use magic arm you can mount AP in any position required by circumstances. Tested with AP-505RW and AP-515RW.
- Use M4x10 or M4x12 screws for securing the AP mount on the adapter plate, screw it in directly to the adapter plate
- Use any G1/4 to G3/8 screw adapters for center hole (like thisone) and screw it in directly to the adapter plate
- I used standard 15% grid infill with 4 perimeters (but I guess it will be okay with 2 aswell)
- Printed mine with PETG for sturdier print but I guess PLA is also fine
- Magic arm is recommended 😊
