This is a watch stand display designed for 4 watches, or banks of 4 watches. As seen in the cover image it can hold a variety of watches well with the added benefit of non-metal strapped watches being able to be removed from the front. Watch wristbands do not need to be closed in order to hold up the watch which is convenient if you intend to use the watch frequently. This was the main reason for me designing my own watch holder, as I found taking off and replacing the watch from other holders took unnecessary effort.
The watch stands work on their own or can be attached to the stand. They simply slot in and slide to the right 5mm to lock into the base, allowing for easy removal when getting to metal strapped watches that need to be removed from the side.
The base comes with optional anti skid feet that will not work unless they are printed out of a TPU or TPE, I used eSun eLastic filament (TPE 83A) for this and it helps stop the base from sliding around too much. These feet can be glued into the slots with basically any glue you have on hand, as they already fit tight ish, I used superglue. Make sure to print two feet.
For the watch stand and base I printed in ASA filament as I found printing other watch holder designs in the past out of PLA would sag over time, particularly with heavier watches. PETG, glass filled PLA, or other higher temp filaments should also work well for this.
PRINT SETTINGS:
Layer height: 0.2 or 0.28, I used 0.28 to save a little on print time with minimal detail loss.
Tree supports can be used to help the overhang of the watch cradle, particularly if your printer cannot handle overhangs too well.
For the watch holder, I used 10 bottom layers to give the support system strength, and then 3 walls and 15% infill.
