My project, titled "The Only Rule is Creativity," is a demonstration of how precision and imagination can come together in a single piece of art.
I used the printable ruler as my central tool to bring my vision to life, blending accuracy with creative freedom.
To build my design, I took advantage of every feature of the ruler:
- I used the dual measurement of 15 cm (on the top) and inches (on the bottom) to ensure the precision of every line and component. This double scale allowed me to work with different units and perspectives, adding a unique level of detail to my design.
- The integrated geometric shapes were key to tracing the circles, squares, and triangles that form the foundation of my work.
- The angle stencils (30°, 45°, 60°, and 90°) allowed me to add depth and perspective, making sure every corner was perfect.
The gcodes contain a height color change so that the numbers can be a different color than the ruler :)
The printable ruler wasn't just an instrument, but the central piece of my creative process. With this work, I hope to inspire others to look beyond a ruler's simple function and explore its artistic and technical potential.
