Most 3D-printed coasters either ignore condensation as a problem, or try to contain condensation with trays or channels. But that water can still spill … and it's not elegant.
This design solves the condensation problem and has a premium look and feel - by using thick felt inserts held securely in a supportive base.
Key features:
- Luxurious felt insert — thick, soft, and elegant, giving a premium feel. It wicks the moisture away.
- Superior absorption — felt captures condensation instead of letting it pool. They hold a LOT of water.
- No glass sticking — your drink will not lift this coaster.
- Fast-drying — the felt dries surprisingly well by itself, and ventilated honeycomb base promotes airflow.
- Washable and reusable — simply rinse under water to clean and shake out excess.
- Affordable refills — inexpensive felt discs are easy to replace (~70 cents each).
- Weighted shell — adds heft and keeps the coaster flat and stable.
