Description
This base is a remix inspired by G2EnekoG2Eneko’s design. My cat chewed through the cable on my previous inductive coil, and the replacement coil turned out larger. I designed this version to fit a ~60 mm Ø puck, 10 mm thick.
Printing Notes
Prints cleanly without supports.
Uses small stepped layers in two spots with minor overhangs (VHL) for a cleaner print.
Design Features
Puck sits slightly proud of the base for more secure magnetic attachment.
Small cutouts added for camera standoffs.
Secures to the counter with Velcro for easy repositioning.
Puck is press-fitted (designed slightly under 60 mm Ø). Fits snugly but can still be removed.
The inductor came with a bright blue LED — not ideal for a nightstand base. A bit of red permanent marker toned it down.
