Put your 3D printer to the test with this comprehensive calibration model! Designed to evaluate multiple aspects of your machine’s capabilities, this print will reveal how well your machine is tuned up:
- Overhangs: Yellow numbers indicate the angle (in degrees) of each overhang section. This will help determine the steepest angle your printer can manage without support.
- Bridging: Green numbers represent the length (in millimeters) of each bridge span. Assess the printer’s ability to span gaps without sagging or stringing.
- Threads & Fitment: Cylindrical parts feature threaded interfaces. The numbers marked on each cylinder indicate the face offset, allowing you to test and fine-tune thread tolerances and ensure proper engagement between male and female threads.
- Dovetail Joints: Both male and female dovetail components are included. Each female dovetail has an indicated offset value, helping you test the clearance and fit of interlocking joints with precision.
The red arrows point to the thread surfaces, which are negatively (removing material) offset by the value marked on the screw head and threaded hole. Mix and match different combinations to find the sweet spot that works best for your printer and filament.
A value of 0.00 means the thread is modeled with default settings from Fusion 360, with no extra offset.
