Recently had to do some re-organizing for my 3d printing supplies and ran across this shelf at my local Lowe's:
I needed more storage even still, though, so I made these brackets to attach either 1 inch dowel rods to hold spools, or it can be flipped over and a shelf board used instead. I haven't actually done that yet as you can see, but the option is there! The bracket just slips into the keyholes like the original shelves. They're a it snug, but I designed them not to move once installed. The dowel rods will slip in any of the hexagonal holes, so you can customize the position to your liking, or hang things from them, there are a ton of options!
