It's recommended to have the MMU3, but still you don't need it necessarily: by adjusting the heights of the different colors, you can make the filament change manually.
Hint: When adding this to the PRUSA Slicer, put the 3 color files (meow black, …white and ...brown) at once, as one object with different parts, in (SHIFT + A or SHIFT + Select), so that the 3 colors are at the right place.
