This model is a single-layer spiral-square path designed for advanced bed alignment and extrusion tuning across the entire build surface.

The nozzle follows a continuous spiral of nested squares until reaching the center, minimizing retractions and creating uninterrupted extrusion lines. This makes the model highly effective for detecting and correcting:

Bed leveling inconsistencies across large surfaces

First-layer adhesion issues (edges vs. center)

Flow stability and extrusion calibration over long paths

Z-offset or nozzle height fine-tuning

Model specifications:

  • Outer size: 200 × 200 mm
  • Step inward: 5 mm per loop
  • Height: 0.2 mm (single layer)
  • Track width: 0.6 mm (match slicer line width for accuracy)

Recommended slicing settings:

  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Perimeters: 1
  • Top/Bottom layers: 0
  • Infill: 0%

Enable Detect Thin Walls in Cura or PrusaSlicer

This pattern is especially useful for advanced bed alignment tuning, ensuring both edges and the center of the build plate are correctly leveled and bonded.
