V3 Update: Turns out that loading it with SFPs makes it significantly heavier, and it really doesn't like being dropped. Following field trials at work, I have included two “bumper” pieces intended to be printed in TPU, the glued on using contact adhesive (rubber cement). This appears to make the case significantly less fragile. I have also added the catch clearance value as text on the back of it, since I couldn't keep track of the different ones I'd printed. (V2 was a full TPU sleeve, but the bumpers worked well enough with far less material.)

This case is meant for storing SFP modules commonly used in computer networking. While not watertight, it should keep out dust.

I use 2 each of M3x20 and M3x30 cap head screws for the hinges and latch. (You can adjust these lengths in the onshape CAD model, and the hinges and catch with resize automagically.)

The model is available in onshape here. The version here in STL and STEP format is a 6x2 case, but the onshape version can be changed for any size. Additionally, screw sizes, SFP fit and lid clearance can all be adjusted.

The inspiration for this case was EMCBenni's Box for SFP, but I found it to be too loose for my liking. This is from scratch redesign, starting with the INF-8074i specification, and building it up from there.

So far, I have only printed it in PETG, with a 0.4mm nozzle. I have sliced it using Orca Slicer.

The catch piece is oriented on it's side and mouse ear brim, 0.2mm layer height, and precise z-height selected.

The lid and case are printed without a brim. I also use precise z height, and ironing for all top surfaces. The case is oriented upright, and the lid upside down, neither with supports.

v1.8 - Added a small tolerance fit between the hinge and the wall of the case to make opening a bit smoother. Catch updated to have a tighter snap for opening and closing.
