Toothbrushes are difficult to mark. They even seem resistant to Sharpie.
We all make mistakes. Especially children.
Toothbrushes should be replaced every three months. So the color and design of one's toothbrush may also constantly change.
Nobody likes to use someone else's toothbrush.
My solution to this problem was to make sure that everyone's toothbrush ended up in a holder with their name on it.
I went through several iterations. This design is inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3296915.
Customization
The easiest thing to do is to simply print in different colors, especially if everyone in your family has a different favorite color.
The next level is to “write” everyone's name on the side. To do this
- Duplicate the “blank” toothbrush holder
- Write the name in a sketch in a plane parallel to the blank nameplate
- Extrude the name, intersecting the duplicate
- Move the resulting letters 1 mm out
